Download chapters 1-4
1. The people of Hackney and the City
2. Society and Environment
3. Lifestyle and Behaviour
4. Infectious Diseases

Download chapters 5-8
5. Children, Young People and Families
6. Adult health and illness
7. Shared needs
8. Local services (including The Third Sector)

Key Points:

  • The new profile features more community voices and local intelligence, to give insight into the local picture currently
  • Every section has a City subsection
  • There is a new section on welfare reform
  • There is increased emphasis on inequalities
  • The profile features practice-based GP data from Hackney, which allows data analyses to be conducted by both number and rate

Issues still to be revised include:

  • Expanded “what works” sections
  • Adult Social Care section which needs more input from the City
  • Adding the new safeguarding protocol
  • The Third Sector appearing nearer the start of the document in order to ensure it is not merely an add-on at the back

Production of an executive summary had been proposed for the Health and Wellbeing Profile. It will be important to produce this, as it helps with wider engagement if communities can see the outcomes that have been achieved from their inputs.

For 2012, some early key issues include:

•    The effect of increased debt levels on health
•    Infant mortality rates
•    Childhood obesity
